Formal VS Informal words



We use formal and informal language in different situations. The words, grammar, and tone are different between formal and informal language.


When to use formal words?

Used in a work setting or in situations that involve people we don't know well. Also, in writing when it is for professional/academic purposes like university work.


When to use informal words?

Used in a casual setting when you are talking or writing to friends or family members.
