[Topic] Improve your memory

Do you wish you had a better memory? If you've ever found yourself forgetting where you left your phone or the correct answers on important tests then you would want to read this. There are many ways to improve your memory.

One of the ways is through the type of food we eat. Here are six brian foods that help improve your memory:

Other than food, there are also many ways for you to improve your memory. This can be helpful for English learners to remember new words or vocabulary:

  • Free of distractions: try to study in a place free of distractions such as television, music, or phone.

  • Remember in clusters/groups: try grouping similar concepts and terms together, or make an outline of your notes and textbook readings to help group related concepts.

  • Study regularly: create a habit and spend 15 minutes a day to study rather than spend 1 hour a week. You will remember the material far better than doing all of the studying in one marathon session.

  • Create links: you might associate a new word you need to remember with a common item that you are very familiar with. Tips: use a rhyme, song, or joke

  • Use the new information: when learning something new, find the definition the word, google different example sentences and then make your own sentence.

  • Visualize concepts: draw charts/figures in your notes or use highlighters/pens in different colors to group related ideas together.
