Do you feel confused when going to another country like America where you need to give tips? You don't know how much to give or how to give it? Read on👇
How much tips do you give? It depends on how expensive the restaurant/hotel is. Just follow the 15-20% standard.
Restaurant:
Waiter🍽️: 15-20% of the total bill (BEFORE tax) / 25% in a Michelin star restaurant.
Barista☕: leave some change or $1; in the tip jar (if you want)
Bartender🍻: $1 per drink, per round
Hotel:
Bellhop: $1-$2 per bag / $5 per bag (5-star hotel).
Doorman: $1-$2 if he performs a service (hails a taxi, gets your bags, etc).
Hotel maid: $1-$5 daily, depending on the hotel. Leave it in an envelope or with a note.
Room service🏨: $1-$2 per delivery. Tip even if a delivery service charge was added to your bill.
Transportation:
Taxi🚖: 10-20% of the fare
Shuttle: $2-5 per person
