Travel the world - How to describe Places & Cities

When you go traveling and you want to talk about the place you visited, you can use these words:

How to use them in a sentence?

  • This place is alive. A sight so beautiful you can’t help but stop and stare.

  • This charming little castle dates back to 1750.

  • Deserted places often attract urban explorers and adventurers.

  • The ancient towns preserve their own paces and lifestyle.

  • The beaches are very touristy in summer, so I don't like to go there.

  • Hong Kong is one of the most polluted cities in the world.

Words to describe a city:

How to use them in a sentence?

  • In Dubai, 83% of its population is foreign-born, making it the most cosmopolitan city in the world.

  • Big, crowded cities lack (=do not have something) greenery and fresh air.

  • The streets, usually bustling with activity, was strangely silent.

  • If you like taking life at a slower pace,"boring" cities might be worth a visit.

  • Contemporary architecture includes eco-friendly features and embraces creativity.

  • Travel experts share the most exciting places to go in 2019, which includes the Caribbean and Mexico.
